Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American journalist. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages led to her obtaining a job in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In this role she was able to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this, the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009, she moved into Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She was also often asked to serve as a sports and weather anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. She was a reporter for The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason, as well as the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She was hired as anchor of the sports program by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The anchor also worked in the same job on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. Also, she has a younger sibling. The family relocated to Miami following the move to Mexico into the US. In 1992, the couple divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. In June of the year 2006, Antonietta spent one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta still a senior at high school and knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she sought. After finishing her high school education, she chose to attend the University and major in Media Studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a member. They developed a close connection. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. She in turn attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
